American Bullmastiff
Association Working Dog Award Program

The Working Dog Award Program was
developed to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of bullmastiffs competing
in a variety of canine sports activities. The awards are only available to
members of the ABA.
Awards are presented in two main
categories: Working Dog Versatility and Working Dog Performance.
Working Dog Versatility (WDV) awards
recognize bullmastiffs that successfully attain titles in several of the
following categories: obedience, agility, tracking, rally, miscellaneous
(herding/carting), conformation, and temperament.

- AKC titles/certifications only accepted for
the WDV award with the exception of: carting titles, therapy dog
certifications, and temperament certifications.
- Points for titles in each category are not
cumulative. Credit is given for the highest title earned in each category.
- Therapy Dog recognition requires proof of
certification AND 15 witnessed visitations as a volunteer to a
nursing home, hospice, hospital, home shut in, school, breed fair, etc. The
attendance documentation form must be submitted with the award application.
Working Dog Performance (WDP)
awards recognize bullmastiffs that successfully demonstrate consistent
performance in agility, obedience or tracking. Awards are given separately in
each area: Working Dog Performance – Agility (WDP-A), Working Dog Performance
– Obedience (WDP-O), Working Dog Performance – Tracking (WDP-T).
