Annie was a close call…. I came home from work to emails saying “Annie Dies TODAY” Through quick work and burning up the phone lines, Alethia was at the shelter with literally 15 minutes to spare! No one wanted to help Annie because she was 5 yrs old and according to the shelter, she needed Cruciate Surgery.

After some of Alethia’s great care, turned out no surgery was needed, Annie had just been on concrete so long, she had a bad infection and was arthritic.

Annie was adopted by a lovely family who wanted a “sister” for the male they already had. They gave Annie the best 2 yrs of her life! Sadly, Annie passed away in 2007 and her family has recently contacted us wanting to adopt another girl!
