Let’s suffice to say, we love her.  And she is blossoming into a sweet girl.  We’ve hired a dog trainer who comes to our house and Annie is excelling!  She’s getting much better at recall and sit.  We are learning how to walk properly on the leash.  She’s very food motivated.  And she loves ice!  She comes running any time she hears the ice dispenser on the fridge!

Annie loves Titus, our mixed breed boy.  They play hard!  And he is extremely patient with her.  She is known to take bones and toys out of his mouth.  And he just lays there, patiently waiting until she loses interest.  She follows him everywhere.  He has shown her how to bark when someone is at the door.  Good dog!  And she has shown him how to dig holes in the yard!  Yikes!  That’s something we need to work on.  Alas, Titus will be leaving us the end of July.  His parents (our son and his girlfriend) finally found rental property that allows dogs.  The house has a large fenced yard, perfect for Titus.  Annie will miss him terribly, and so will we.  But I know we’ll visit often and they’ll have fun together.

Annie gets along well with our 9 year old Cocker, Pepper.  They are often found sleeping together in one of their beds.  They’ve learned to share as well.  Pepper is quick to remind Annie when she misbehaves, especially when she sees our cat.  But we’re working on teaching her to ignore the cat.  So far, our efforts are paying off.  Annie has been to our vet and had a good checkup.  The vet told us we picked a winner, and we think so too.  She has blended with our family beautifully and we couldn’t be happier.

Thanks to both of you for all you do with the Bullmastiff Rescue.  You were very patient with us in answering our questions to help us determine which dog would be a good fit for us.  We still plan to volunteer for the rescue organization, but just haven’t had a chance to complete the form.  It’s been quite hectic at our house since Annie’s arrival.  Once we take Titus to his parents, and Annie gets used to not having him around, it should start settling down.  Then we should be able to volunteer.

Thank you again….and Annie thanks you too.
