Deuce was hit by a car June '07. His owners when called from the shelter claimed they had given him away years ago and would not take responsibility for him. His only chance was Rescue and we were there within hours of getting the call. After we got him out of the shelter, it was determined we'd have to amputate his front left leg. He had to learn how to walk, play and even pee, all over again.

He is so trusting, and never a word of complaint from him throughout his entire 4 month long ordeal of surgery, draining fluids from the site, a neuter gone bad, ect. He is the kindest soul I have ever met and he taught me a lot about being brave!

Deuce became such a part of us that when he was finally well it was hard to start looking for a home for him. After 6 months though, his home was found with the Sheppard Family. Deuce is their 4th bullmastiff they have adopted and a family we as rescuers can only dream of finding!

Deuce's family says he's learned to use the remote door they have for him, and sleeps every night with his boys! In every picture they send me, no one is sitting on the furniture, they are all, always on the floor with Deuce!!!
